Why Choose Us Continued PDF Print E-mail
At TechsRUs we pride ourselves on work ethic.  We are always fair and honest.  We do not try to sell you something you do not need.  We will not charge you bloated diagnostic fees without justification.  We will even let you get a second opinion and will do everything we can to earn your business.  Don't simply drop your computer off with a Geek and not fully understand what is going on, talk to us, talk to another tech, but know what you are getting into.

Loose cables are not that uncommon.  We have come across computers that were misdiagnosed and were simply not functioning due to something being loose.  The misdiagnosis is usually done by the larger firms who hire techs without real world experience.  Our techs have either interned for us or other companies before we send them out on their own.  We require our techs to go out with an experienced tech several times before we will let them run their own calls.

The loose cable again...a 5 minute fix in a desktop.  We have seen this misdiagnosis by Geek Squad, The Apple Genius', Easy Techs, Friendly Computer and more.   We are a mobile tech support company and most repairs are done on site in front of you.  We are honest, fair, and again, will not try to sell you something you do not need.  Read our reviews on this site or at http://www.linkedin.com/in/techsrus

The BIOS.  A lot of so called Geeks do not even know what this is.  Before we tell you that the hard drive or motherboard is bad, we test it using several different methods including boot diagnostics, checking the BIOS, "Racking the hard drive" and checking beep codes/error messages, just to name a few.  We are thorough and will never mislead you.  If we miss something, we will correct it free!

While we always ask if there is important data on your computer, it is merely a precautionary step.  As a general practice, any computer technician should ask if there is information that is vital to the customer.  Before working on a computer, you should back it up just in case!  We actually have a customer who's hard drive cables come loose because their office is above a night club.  We pride ourselves on honesty.  Our diagnostic fee of $39 is usually just to cover gas, is always waived if we do the work and is sometimes waived depending on the scenario.

At TechsRUs we educate our customers.  We would love to see you again but let's face it, you don't want to see us again.  We want you to get your moneys worth.  We have all been to the auto repair shop and feel as though we were robbed.  We don't want you to walk away from us feeling that way.  We will tell you what is wrong and let you know how to make sure it does not happen again.  We even have self help tips on this site.  We have a news feed on the bottom of this site with the latest things to watch out for.  We do all this to help you understand what is out there, what can be done to eliminate costs or prevent a disaster.

Above all else, we are honest.  A recent call was issues with a mac.  The customer could not get on the internet.  Upon arrival to an assisted living center, we immediately notice the customer is using firefox which appears to have been installed incorrectly.  We show the customer safari, then reinstall firefox.  The customer is ecstatic about the fact that her issue is quickly resolved, and even more excited that we were not going to charge her an arm and a leg.  Without hesitation she informed us that the company he normally helps the people in her building is not familiar with Macs (incidentally, they put a sticker on her computer but shall remain nameless) and she would tell all her Mac users about us.  How can you be in this business and not be familiar with the major players?

What our customers are saying

Jim S (Wallingford, CT)---I was very pleased with your service, and have already recommended you to two other folks...don't know if they will definitely call, but I'll keep passing your name along...and as I said, I'm sure you'll be hearing from me again as time goes on.
